Like a piece of trick art, Contradiction defies your expectations. When viewed from behind it appears to be a simple striped sweater, but when viewed from the front you discover that the stripes have been split down the center and thrown askew. This is a perfect piece for knitters who enjoy intriguing construction and a striking finished project.

This sweater is worked from the top down. The body is knit flat and seamed at the center front. Short rows raise the back neck and lengthen one side of the body. Sleeves and neckband are worked in the round using the Magic Loop technique.
